  9. WHAT IT DOES

  11. Give it a wildcard, and it'll give back a file picked randomly from all those
  12. which match the wildcard. File - Pick. Marvellous. Useful for all those people
  13. who like to have random WB backdrops or random samples played on bootup. Me,
  14. in fact.

  16. WHY IT'S GREAT
  17.  
  18. Werl. I wrote it, for a kick off. It can handle up to 300 files, which should
  19. be enough for just about anyone. And it's fairly small.
  20. And it's free.

  22. HOW TO USE IT
  23.  
  24. filepick <wildcard>
  25.  
  26. where <wildcard> is a standard AmigaDOS wildcard string, such as #?.iff,
  27. Work:Wossnames/pictures/blimey/deep/directory/this/#?.ilbm, and so on.

  29. It prints out the filename it chooses, so you can use backquoting to pass it
  30. to a command, e.g. "DSound `filepick sounds:StartupSamples/#?.8svx`".

  32. N.B. It uses the T: directory to do something or other, so make sure that
  33. this is assigned somewhere cunning, OK?

  38. Brown and all that malarkey. Use it, give it to your mates, throw it on the
  39. fire, stick it up your left nostril, brutally assault Whigfield with it, I
